International Women’s Day – Building Strong Leaders

Happy International Women’s Day Winnipeg!

We all have women in our lives that we look up to. Whether it be our moms, grandmothers, co-workers, friends, bosses, etc… Women are such powerful influencers in our community, and it’s amazing that we get a day to celebrate them! Today, I just want to take a moment to celebrate the women that have influenced me and shed a little light on what happens when women are raised to be empowered, strong, and confident leaders.

International Women’s Day

I think that we all take a lot away from our moms. It’s not necessarily all good, as not everyone is blessed to have a great relationship with their mom. But when you do get to have a wonderful mom, life is so sweet! My mom is wonderful… I have learned so much from her about how to be a strong and confident woman. But the thing that I love and appreciate most about her is that she is an advocate for the people she loves and cares about and stops at nothing to stand FOR them. And that is a trait that I am so proud to have and that has led me to be able to do what I do and serve and stand for each and everyone one of you!

If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Robyn, you’re missing out! She is one of the most driven, dedicated, serving, and compassionate people you will ever meet! Not only is she a rockstar mom, raising two beautiful, intelligent, strong and caring kids; but, she is also a fantastic chiropractor. She gives her best each and every single day, whether it be as a mom, chiropractor, or just doing the things she needs to do to better herself. She works so hard to be the best version of herself so that she can be the best for you! I am blessed to be able to work alongside Dr. Robyn and to learn from her to become not only a better advocate for you and for chiropractic, but to be an amazing working mom.

I am so excited for you to meet and develop a relationship with Dr. Sarah! She’s a beautiful, hardworking, caring, intelligent, and empathetic person who stops at nothing to help the people around her. I admire her strength, that, even in times of adversity, she takes on such a calm and collected attitude which helps her to accomplish greatness and to keep learning to be better. I look forward to working many years beside Dr. Sarah and watching her become an (even more) amazing chiropractor and advocate for you.

When we surround ourselves with strong and confident women (and men…) we become more strong and confident ourselves. Learning and understanding more about ourselves and how to become the best versions of ourselves enables us to pass that knowledge on to the next generation. In a world that is becoming more technologically advanced, it is crucial for us to maintain personal relationships with the generations behind us. These relationships will develop a new generation of leaders that are strong and confident and who stand to make the world a better place. When we take the time to develop amazing relationships with young girls (and boys) they learn from us and they look up to us. We get the immense privilege of helping them to discover themselves and their strengths and help them to apply those strengths to life. These relationships that we develop are priceless… the relationships that we’ve had with amazing and strong women mean the world to us, so let’s create those same types of relationships for generations to come.
